Jonathan Chapman is widely seen as one of the most prolific and talented photographers in the business. In high demand for both still and motion work, his clients include McDonald’s, Sprint, AARP, United Health Care, and Boeing. And he’s been featured in top industry pubs like Communication Arts, PDN and Applied Arts.
So it’s a win for organizers of the APA + Apple Lecture Series: “Discussion on Motion” in Chicago to have him on their speaker roster. Jonathan will team-up with the acclaimed Vincent Laforet to discuss the transformation from still to motion, and how it’s fueled their businesses and their creativity.
As someone I look up too, I thought I’d try Jonathan when I wanted guidance while directing my documentary. Despite his insane schedule, he made time for me and even invited me to pitch in on one of his projects that will launch on his new website soon. He’s generously mentored me and asked for nothing in return. I visit his JCP office whenever I can, and always come away inspired.
For a rare chance to learn from one of the best—both professionally and personally—make space on your calendar for this lecture. And if you can meet Jonathan’s Studio Manager, John Fontana, do that too. He’s another great inspiration in making the jump from still to motion.
